Today on The World, there was a segment discussing child labor. Specifically, they were talking about exactly the issue that we're trying to deal with at Bamboo Village Educational Fund: children dropping out of school in their early teens to become migrant workers. This also prompts me to stop procrastinating and let you know that Zhang Lin has been accounted for! Daniel just returned from China on Sunday.

In the News
Please, please listen to this report from today's edition of The World. This story is so very relevant to Bamboo Village - in many ways, it is the story of myhusband, who, like the young man in this story, was the first university grad in his home village. This story will describe so much better than I am able the great sacrifice a community will make for its children, and also the immense expectation placed on that child.
I'd love to hear your reaction to this story!
